The role of order of ceremony booklets has changed over time. Traditionally the booklets would provide wording for the hymns and readings that would be performed within the ceremony, as well as the order of the (historically long) service. These days, many brides and grooms are opting not to have them at all (they are not essential) or to veer away from tradition and make them fun ceremony keepsakes.
If you’re choosing to create your own booklet, here are some ideas for what you may wish to include. I would recommend thinking about the vibe that you’re hoping for at your ceremony and use that as a basis for what you include. Remember, this is one of the first things that your guests will see when they arrive at your ceremony!
