  Naming Ceremonies

The celebration of new life is a magical time for parents, family and friends. Babies bring us joy by their mere existence and encourage us to be better people. A Naming Ceremony is a wonderful way to celebrate and acknowledge the gift of a new baby and welcome a child into the world.

If you decide on a Naming Ceremony, it does not mean that your child cannot have a religious baptism at the same time. You can have a baptism in the church, followed by the christening celebration at home, which includes the naming ceremony.

A Naming Ceremony not only introduces and acknowledges the baby's chosen name but is also an expression of your love, support and encouragement. You may also choose to acknowledge the role of others who will have a specific role in your child's life.

Your child will receive a certificate, as do the godparents/guardians or mentors, along with a copy of the ceremony as a memento of the day.

The ceremony can incorporate music or poetry, different activities or rituals, such as: Candle Lighting, Tree Planting or a Wishing Tree, sealing a Time Capsule or contributing to a Memento Box.

I look forward sharing your joy and helping to create a beautiful ceremony for you and your child.

Divine love is
a sacred flower,
which in its
early bud
is happiness,
and in its full bloom
is heaven.
